He quickly developed an interest and flare for treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions and together with his interest in sport specialised into this type of management. Since then he has completed training in acupuncture, McKenzie method, advanced manual therapy and sports injury management. In 2007 he opened Deeside Physiotherapy and Sports Injuries Clinic – an exclusive clinic situated in Banchory offering a high quality accessible physiotherapy service for the people of Royal Deeside. The clinic rapidly developed an excellent and trusted reputation with local GPs and patients and has seen its services expand significantly to include input from Podiatry, dietetics, sports masseurs, Pilates classes and specialist postural and work related assessments. Further to his clinical reputation, Richard has also developed strong community links. Often seen being involved at local events, Deeside Physiotherapy has become an integral service for many local businesses and sports clubs. In 2011 Richard was selected to work as a Physiotherapist for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
